Sue Munn

Sue Munn is a fifth grade teacher in School District #145 at Hamlow Elementary School in Waverly, Nebraska. She has been teaching there since 1989, and previously taught at School District #145 in Eagle, Nebraska. Sue's love is integrating social studies, language arts, and technology. She is currently working on a "Holidays Around the World" celebration for the 70 fifth graders at Hamlow Elementary School. The celebration will center around holiday customs in Iceland, the Czech Republic, and Germany because those are the countries to which the school's Nebraska Air National Guard friends have recently traveled and taught the fifth graders (via e-mail and classroom visits) about.

Sue received her BS in Elementary Ed. and Special Ed. in 1966 from Nebraska Wesleyan University and her MS in Elementary Curriculum & Instruction in 1989 from the University of Nebraska/Lincoln. She will be teaching at Waverly's new middle school next year and is working on her middle school endorsement. Sue has been a presenter at Nebraska Social Studies Curriculum Conferences and at the Midwest Internet Conference.
