5 Paragraph

This will help you organize your 5 paragraph essay. You do not need to use complete sentences this is only a tool to use when you are brainstorming and developing your essay topic.

Introduction ...

There are several ways to begin an essay. You need to find a way to "catch" your reader from the very first sentence. Possible Idea Starters: Statistic, Quote, Anecdote, or Question. Make sure you have a thesis statement.

Paragraph 1

My introduction, what idea starter will I use?

Paragraph 2 - Topic/Reason # 2 Supporting details

Topic Paragraphs

You need to think of at least three topics that relate to your thesis. Each topic will be a paragraph with it's own supporting details. Make sure to use good transitions between paragraphs.

Conclusion
