Josephine Dervan

 o Dervan is a
Library Media Specialist
at Strathmore Elementary School in Aberdeen, New Jersey. She has
been working in education for eighteen years, both as a teacher and a librarian, and
has been using computers in the library for four years. This is her second year using
the Internet with students, and she has involved nine classrooms in her keypal exchanges!
Dervan earned her B.A. from Ladycliff College in 1969 and her M.L.S. from Pratt Institute in 1971. In 1987, she received the New Jersey Governor's Excellence in Teaching Award while acting as both kindergarten teacher and librarian at Deal School in Deal, New Jersey. |
