Doug Adams
 
Doug Adams has taught preservice and inservice teachers at the University of Kansas for the past five years, including introductory courses in human learning and courses on the use of computers in the classroom. Prior to that, Mr. Adams managed the retail side of a computer hardware and software business. He has been working with computers since 1977, when he helped build one from a kit in a neighbor's garage.
 
Mr. Adams holds an undergraduate degree in History and a Master's degree in Educational Psychology and Research. He is currently involved in doctoral work in Instructional Technology in the Department of Special Education at the University of Kansas. In addition to his work for the SCR*TEC, he is a team leader for the Online Academy, where he is involved with online instruction of special education interventions to preservice teachers. His first book, Using dBASE, Release 5.0 for Windows, with Dr. Neil Salkind, was published by Houghton Mifflin in 1996.
